Southwater Summer Darts League 2026 - Week 1 Results and Standings
The first match night of the Southwater Summer Darts League 2026 concluded on 23/04/2026, with teams in Division A and Division B having played their opening fixtures, except Allfold club and Tony’s Old Boys who unfortunately due to evens out of anyone's control had to rearrange their opening game to catch up week 1. Division A Results (Matchnight 23/04/2026) The Shelley D defeated Southwater 6-3. The Railway B won against The Kings Head with a score of 7-2. Not scheduled this week: Tony's Old Boys and Alfold Sports Club. League Standings The Railway B takes the initial top spot with 7 points and a +5 game difference after their opening win. The Shelley D follows closely in second place with 6 points. Division B Results (Matchnight 23/04/2026) Ashington Club A secured a dominant 7-2 victory over The Shelley E. The Onslow Arms defeated The Cricketers 5-4. The Partridge Pub narrowly won 5-4 against Ashington Club B. League Standings Ashington Club A leads Division B after the first week with 7 points. The Onslow Arms and The Partridge Pub are tied for second place with 5 points each. Week 1 of the Southwater Summer Darts League 2026 saw some strong individual performances as the season got underway. The most spectacular finish of the opening night belonged to Steve Adsett of the Railway B, who hit a massive 167 checkout. Not far behind, Matt Smallwood of the Shelley D's showed his class with a great 112 checkout. The night's impressive finishes were rounded out by Mick Flynn of Ashington A, who successfully checked out 100. These early high scores set a competitive tone for the weeks ahead.

League Standings The top of Division A saw a shake-up due to the postponed match and key results. The Railway B, which was in second place in Week 2 with 10 points, climbed to the top spot with 15 points after their 5-4 win against Alfold Sports Club. Tony's Old Boys jumped into second place with 14 points following their 8-1 rout of Southwater. The Shelley D, who were leading the division in Week 2 with a perfect 2-0 record and 13 points, dropped to third place with 13 points as their game was postponed. Ian “Badger” Russell Memorial
On Thursday 7th May, We held the Annual Ian “Badger” Russell Memorial Competitions, in memory of Ian and in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK. Consisting of an open singles Tournament and a Flying pairs tournament for any first round losers wishing to enter. After the success and great turnout last year this years turnout this year saw a small decrease in entries but still a great field of 50 players raising £200 for a very important charity. The Singles tournament was very competitive and led to our finalist; Ryan Mitchell (The Onslow Arms) Versus Adam Lamport (The Railway) The Flying Pairs had 14 players enter and the finalist for this are; Paul Williams (Shelley D) & Will Ranson (Allfold Club) Versus Carole Cole (The Partridge) & Matt Schenck (Ashington A) Although the summer league doesn’t usually have a finals night we will be adding a finals and presentation evening to the fixtures on 10th September as we have an early finish to the league this year and time allows us to play and celebrate on this evening, an updated fixture list will be uploaded and sent out. Southwater Summer Darts League 2026 - Week 2 Report Matchnight 2 took place on 30/04/2026, with all teams competing including first fixtures for Tony’s Old Boys and Allfold Club. Division A Results (Matchnight 30/04/2026) The Shelley D 7 - 2 Alfold Sports Club Tony's Old Boys 6 - 3 The Railway B Southwater 3 - 6 The Kings Head League Standings The Shelley D moved into first place with a perfect 2-0 record and 13 points, following their 7-2 victory over Alfold Sports Club. The change at the top was affected after The Railway B lost 3-6 to Tony's Old Boys, dropping The Railway B to second place with 10 points. Tony's Old Boys opened their season successfully, moving to 6 points after their first match. The Kings Head secured their first win, defeating Southwater 6-3, placing them third in the early standings. Division B Results (Matchnight 30/04/2026) The Shelley E 2 - 7 The Onslow Arms Ashington Club B 7 - 2 The Cricketers The Partridge Pub 4 - 5 Ashington Club A League Standings Ashington Club A and The Onslow Arms are now tied for the lead after both teams secured their second consecutive wins. Ashington Club A won a tight 5-4 match against The Partridge Pub, while The Onslow Arms defeated The Shelley E 7-2, with both teams sitting on 12 points. Ashington Club B moved into third place with 11 points after a comprehensive 7-2 win over The Cricketers. Week 2 saw a continuation of high-scoring action and impressive checkouts across both divisions. The highest checkout of the night belonged to Paul Hopkins of Tony's Old Boys, who hit a brilliant 160. James Andrews of The Kings Head also impressed with a strong 115 checkout. 180s A total of nine 180s were recorded across the league in Week 2. In Division A, The Shelley D’s led the way with three maximums, two from Nathan Worsell and one from Rob Metcalfe. The Railway B contributed two 180s, one each from Charlie Johnstone and Adam Lamport. Steve Houghton of Southwater Club also hit a maximum. Division B contributed four maximums to the week's total. The Partridge was the biggest contributor in the division with two 180s, hit by Casey Hill and Tony Harris. The remaining maximums came from Jake Fischnaller of Shelley E and Ryan Mitchell of The Onslow Arms.
