WEEK 6 RESULTS

In the A league, Shelley D maintained their top position with a 6-3 win over Southwater. The match was all square after the singles but Shelley took all 3 doubles to maintain a 3 point lead over Tony's old boys who won 7-2 against Alfold. Alex Gurr hitting 2x180s on the night along with Andy Gurr hitting a 180 and an impressive 117f against Tallon to keep within touching distance of Shelley. A fighting performance by the Railway secured them a 5-4 win against Kings head with Archie Goddard also hitting a 180. In the B league, Onslow already top of the league cruised to a 7-2 win over the Cricketers, despite Neil Rands 180 for the visitors they couldn't keep up with the leaders. A special mention has to go to Lucas Russell winning his first ever singles game for the Cricketers at a young age of 15. Ashington B stay in 4th after beating 3rd place Partidge with a narrow 5-4 win. Casey Hill with a fine 112 finish for the visitors one of the highlights for the evening. Bottom club Shelley E faced 2nd place Ashington A and came away with a disappointing 7 -2 loss despite Dougie Wrens fine 180.
